The Nikkei Asian Review (July 6, Koyanagi) observes that the world is moving toward standardized regulations and codes of conduct for corporate governance. However, while the rules themselves may be getting more similar, their effects vary form one market to another. This is due to differences in levels of market development and in business cultures. Seven Ways to Stronger Oversight of Supply Chain Risk

One important source of operational risk relates to the organizations, people, processes, and resources comprising a company's supply chain. In many sector, companies increasingly depends on the external elements to the supply chain (e.g., suppliers, outsource partners, third-party logistics) in an effort to cut costs while increasing capabilities and global reach.
