Mixing business with politics could cause vital damages on both sides. Yet, many businesses nowadays seem to have established rather tight and complex relationships with political figures/entities, which create reasonable concerns by the public about privileged access behind closed doors andpotential favoritism and conflict of interest.  Repeated political scandals have led to high levels of public mistrust of the linkage between the public and private sectors and made it a complex area for companies to manage. Mr. Peter Wilkinson, the author of Transparency International’s original 241 anti-corruption checklist for organizations (71 of which have been adopted by Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition against Corruption as a guideline for Thai companies), will speak to Thai directors and provide practical advice on addressing the challenges of managing political engagement and will also speak about developments in corporate anti-bribery good practice. His insight will help local companies operate to high ethical standards, protect their reputations, and fulfill their legal obligations.
