The Board’s Role in Mergers and Acquisitions (BMA On-site)

BMA 8/2024 (Thai Program): 14 June 2024

Strengthen your M&A oversight for long-term growth

Today’s pathway for business growth is not limited only to organic growth. The number of companies using mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to strengthen their competitive advantages and ensure future growth is on the rise, whether through domestic or cross-border deals. However, M&A is not only a matter of completing a transaction, but rather a “process” that includes stages before, during, and after the M&A. For an M&A deal to truly achieve its purpose, the board as the leader must be involved in every stage to oversee the alignment of M&A rationales with corporate strategy, conduct due diligence to ensure the validity of the transaction, and ensure a smooth integration of two companies with different operations and cultures.

The Board’s Role in Mergers and Acquisitions (BMA) is designed to provide an understanding of the board’s roles in overseeing the M&A process and ways to address related challenges effectively. Discover how your board can ensure successful M&A deals that lead to growth and benefit all stakeholders in the long run.
